that is a big list isn't it??
thank you again.
You ROCK!
this was the first of the list to try.
excited to try more.
daniela - Yum yum yum!! @aznannies
Joseph Carr - Hahaha! A peanut butter banana smoothie sounds kinda different, but I bet it’s delicious. I usually put peanut butter on my bananas, and I love the taste! So this might work as well. Your list of summertime snacks looks good for a party.
עבודה לצעירים - Healthy list shared by you. I like bananas most. Bread and peanut butter is very healthy in early morning breakfast.
surf camp - Pretty tasty food!!!! I like it very much a good breakfast for the people who wants to control their diet, a great idea nice work dude thank u very much keep posting these wonderful blogs….thanku
תנור מעבדה - Thanks for sharing such nice and healthy list. I like it. I never found such a great and amazing informative list. Great job done by you.
Rita - One more for breakfast, lunch, or dinner…
Mini Chicken Biscuits made w/chicken nuggets & mini frozen biscuits. I usually start baking the biscuits & then add the nuggets to the same pan, so they finish at the same time.
sarah - another super fun snack idea for around the camp fire is tortilla smores. you put peanut butter on a tortilla shell, mini choco chips, and mini marshellows. then roll it up like a burrito and wrap it in tin foil and let it warm up/get melty in the fire. soooooo yummie!
jennibell - thank you so much for listing these!!! When I was reading through your comments I thought. . .”if only I had time to list them all out”. . .ha! You’re amazing 🙂 Happy summer eating to you!!!
Danielle - Here’s another snack/lunch that my kids loved when they were little:
cream cheese on raisin bread (toasted or plain, doesn’t matter)
Talysa - My bagels made the cut! 😉 Do you mind me asking how you made the “snacks” header for this? And what you use to put text on your pics? Do you just use photoshop?
s - love the list and ideas! some of them you can combine too – chicken caeser salad works well in a pita pocket or a wrap. also, this sounds weird, but to shake it up, try adding cheese ravioli to your chicken caeser salad – totally mixes it up and its really good (but sounds weird).
for goldfish, my kids like when we buy the pretzel rods (sticks if you have nothing else), a little dollop each of fluff, and then a bowl of baby goldfish (the smaller size works best) and they “go fishing” as a snack. package this with a fish story and a fish craft (rainbow fish anyone?) and you’ve got a theme with no work! bubbles in the yard and you’ve got a whole fun day!
Katherine @ Grass Stains - Meg, I meant to comment on the first post, but I got so hung up on READING all the comments that I forgot to leave my own!
Apple/peanut butter sandwiches (no bread) are a go-to snack at our house. I wrote a post on it a year ago tomorrow … if you can believe that coincidence! Katie, we LOVE pb on apples, and I make apple/pb sandwiches for the boys. I did a post on it last year, I think. I slice an apple up into eight slices (whole slices, not wedges), then slather pb between two of them. It makes the cutest little sandwiches! The boys love them.
I just found it! I posted it a year ago tomorrow, if you can believe that coincidence:
http://katandgray.blogspot.com/2010/06/two-summer-sandwich-staples-are-here.html .
Enjoy!
Randi - Yay – you’re trying our smoothie! It’s a big family favorite at our house!
Kacey - That is one impressive list! Can’t wait to use some of these ideas. Now, can you do this with dinner? My kids won’t eat anything I fix them for dinner! It’s a battle every single night and I am desperate for new ideas. 😉
Staci - WOW!!! That is SOME list!!!! You just saved MY Summer too!!!! Yay for your blog!!!!!!! I need to be soooo much better at making my kids try new things! Wooohoooo!! I’m inspired! Thanks sooo much!
Elizabeth - We call those smoothies Funky Monkeys at our house :>)
Shairee - Meg you are fantastic!! Thanks for putting this together – what great ideas! Just going to post them by my summer list! Hooray! Thanks!
kristen - thank you so much for this!!
happygirl - That was a wonderful list. I bookmarked it.
Annie - What a generous blogging community!! Ask and ye shall receive. This list is great and I don’t even have kids! But I get just as bored trying to figure out what to bring for lunch. Oh, to be blessed to have this kind of problem. I’m thankful for food period. Thanks so much for sharing.
Kara - yay! thanks for sharing… that is one crazy long list!!
Kerry - what a vrikkin AWESOME list!!!! I love the fonts you’ve used too. Off to read the ‘minutes’ again and click over and take a looksie at all the fabulousness. Kerry xx
kim - When I have bananas that are on the riper side, I peel them & stick them in the freezer (in a ziploc container). Then I use them direct from freezer frozen to make a banana, milk & peanut butter smoothy. No ice needed! Very yummy! ~kim
Dianne - Great list! Will you be sharing recipes as well???? Thanks for sharing.
sara @ it's good to be queen - holy cow that made me hungry…this is super helpful…thank you.
Regina - Holy Neptune, that’s a REALLY big list! This post must have taken you FOREVER to put together. Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us!

Leigh - I wish I had this list when I was still a full time nanny! I am printing it off for when I have kids :):)
Cindy - Wow! Great list…thanks for compiling it! You just made our summer easier…and more yummy! Cheers! 😉
georgia - I just want to say thank you!
I used ur blog as a bribe to do my 30 day shred dvd, and I did it, read the posts today, and feel inspired to make a yummy dinner and to crack out my smoothie maker! Woo
karen - alright!! now i have some great ideas. thanks!
I love the ‘summer snacks’ header!
alicia @ la famille - wow! what a great list! i think we can all use it as a reference list when we’re needing a little help in the food department 🙂
Meredith Salmon - It is my favorite. My husband throws in Vanilla Whey (protein). Love them.
Kori - As I scanned the ginormous list you wrote (phew!) I thought of another cous cous idea that I really like: cous cous with avacado, garbanzo beans and tomato (fresh or canned, although fresh is a bit tastier). It’s very filling and yummy!
Jenna - yum! this is a saver 🙂 I have a theory that you can combine any of the following ingredients and nothing can go wrong: bananas, peanut butter, chocolate, honey and cheerios!
Jenna
shelly - that is pretty much our breakfast everyday!!! a banana, ice to the line (we use a bullet blender thingy), spoonful of pb and chocolate almond milk! Let the kids make their own concoctions too….you’ll get some pretty interesting combos, but mine LOVE it! Even the 7yr old knows how to toss in some frozen berries, a blop of yogurt, some honey and almond milk..shoosh it up and there ya have it 🙂
anna - yay! this looks like an awesome list! can’t wait to read it up!
Jes - I look forward to reading your blog every day, you and your family inspire me so much! I love all of your ideas, and have to admit I’ve copied them many times..for Father’s day..I’ve gotten daddy an old fashioned ice cream maker..such a good idea!! Thank you for making me a better mother/wife!
Shari - I want the credits for the banner you made on this post! Such fun colors & elements!!!
I’m definitely going to try some of these snacks myself. Thanks for sharing!!
Holly - I would have never thoguht to put peanut butter in a smoothie! Hmmmmm…..
