random.

i have been working on etsy orders but feel like i am getting no where.

don't give up on me.
yes…you placed your order a month ago…but i am still working.
the quilted pillows are my favorite to make but take twice as long to complete.
so keep waiting for your lovely pillows.

total randomness….
these are some of my favorite pics from the past 12 months.
i have had to delete a bunch of photos off the computer and just love these pics.
Favscollage

Annie collage

so many are summer photos…coincidence?  i think not.
and so many are annie, i know, but she is the youngest…what can i say?

———————————————————————————————————————-

julie….you rock!
i love my matching flower for my purse.
you are so nice to me.  thank you.

kathy b….you rock too!
that fabric you sent me was SO COOL!
i never see that kind of chenille for sale anymore.
i absolutely love it…thank you.

———————————————————————————————————————-

in bible study yesterday we were talking about proverbs 31.
have you read it?
reading it before has always caused me feel to guilty….
feeling there is so much i lack in the way of running my home.
but thankfully yesterday i saw it differently.
i saw the things i am providing and teaching my children.
i saw ways that i am pleasing to my husband.
if i am trying than i am headed in the right direction.
God knows my heart.
He knows i want to be more like this woman everyday…even when i fail.

read it again yourself and see what you hear God telling you.

———————————————————————————————————————-
i know i say it all the time but it's true….
"back to the craft room"

Rebecca - don’t forget the bit in Prov. 31 where “she girds her loins with strength”! i always loved that part–that this ideal of a godly woman is also incredibly strong–tough, even! And that that strength comes from the Lord. šŸ™‚

Alyssa - i totally think of you as a proverbs 31 woman!!!!

Kate - Hi! Please, please, please don’t stress about the Etsy order. You better promise to put me on the bottom of the list!

Stephanie Howell - what happy photos, thanks for brightening my day~!

Ashley Ann - As if I wasn’t already aching for summer, you go and post so many of the things I love! One of these days I have to figure out how to add a craft room to the house, your “back to the craft room” comments make me want to do the same!

Elisa - the picture of waffle in the frame- see you could totally be a dog photographer!! Love it!

Jill Adkins - Always working towards the Proverbs 31 woman…thanks for the new “insight”…LOVE the picture with the “dog and frame!”…
Blessings!

gina - Beautiful photos!
Sometimes I feel like based on the photos I take you’d think I only have two daughters (the younger two) but the older ones a) no longer humor me by letting me take a million pictures of them… and b) are VERY picky about which photos I delete and which ones I’m allowed to save- and post on my blog. šŸ™‚

Aubrey - You know I love all your pictures. I keep trying to take better ones, but I think I lack the eye, and shutter speed, oh and good camera. Maybe I can convince my husband we NEED one before the accident comes in September.
And I have two packs of Zinnia seeds waiting to be planted. I haven’t planted this kind before, and I’m excited. If it would just stop SNOWING.

Brooke - hhhmmm…wow…i really needed to read that right now…very convicting for some thoughts i have been battling…thank for you that…or rather Him leading me to what i needed through your blog…
photos…amazing as always…colors just reach out and grab you…i love it!

danyele - proverbs 31 is a great reminder of how i am continuing to attain…ahhh.
and the pics, girl, the pics! love them!

adrienneK - proverbs 31 is my favorite passage from the bible. our preacher did a mothers day sermon on it and it truly touched my heart. i go to it often.:)
these pictures are why i fell in love with your blog so much color so many smiles love it!!
<3
adrienneK

kristi rediske - I sure do enjoy your blog-you sure have alot going on. I love all your pics-I know what camera you have but your pictures are so crisp and clear-I have a canon and my pics seem to come out blurred alot-do you have any suggestions? I have a grandaughter and sure would like to take some really good pics of her. She is on the run alot-she is 15 months. I would appreciate suggestions. Thanks

Christina - Your pictures are beautiful! “They” used to say that the baby got his or her picture taken much less than the first child/children…but I think digital photography makes it so easy to take so many pics that the babies these days (or youngest, when they’re not babies anymore) get more taken than the older ones did.
Aren’t you glad someone left such brilliant commentary on the state of photography in the 21st century? Glad to help.
I always enjoy reading your blog, and it’s so cheerful to look at-thanks for a bright ending to a long day.

Marie - my favorite verse and the first verse i learned after becoming a Christian is Proverbs 31:30…it’s awesome and never loses its value and intensity when I read it. Great reminder for women.

Jess - Proverbs 31 has been my goal for as long as I have been a mother. I too feel that I’ve been slacking in more than one area. Glad that you are able to see it differently now. Hopefully our spring break will help me get back on track.
I just love all the wonderful colors in your photos. One of my fav’s is Annie in the tutu holding balloons!

Shannan - Thank you for sharing the verses with all of us ladies. We can never be reminded too much! And seriously – try not to worry about the orders. Take your time. Create with love and joy, as I know you do, and not stress and worry.

maribeth - i love that proverb and belief God gave it to me as my life verse. it is such an inspiration to read. i think you can’t focus on all the things she accomplished physically but spiritually,
“charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” as women, we focus on how we look and what all we can accomplish, but God wants us to put him first. i love that he included these verses to remind us to place our focus on Him.

karol - Oh my goodness, I can’t believe you mentioned Proverbs 31. I had never read this passage until a month ago when the minister for my mother’s funeral suggested she read it at my mom’s service. It truly captured my mother and I think about it frequently since the 5th of March. She was the sort of woman who was a great mom, wife, and homemaker. I miss her so. Thank you for mentioning it and once again reminding me of the type of woman I would like to be.
And by the way, it sounds as if you are doing a beautiful job of creating a warm and loving home for your husband and children.

Julia - What wonderful family photos – I think the one with your son leaning on your shoulder is fantastic.
Don’t worry too much about getting things done super fast – I’ve gone through those phases (too many times) and it never feels worth it.

Becky @ Farmgirl Paints - I love Proverbs 31. She seems so perfect. I love that her children call her blessed. The pictures you posted were gorgeous. I’m in love with all of the color. You really are a talented photographer and from what I can see with your gifts and relationships you are very much like the Porverbs 31 woman.

Lori - I would recommend proverbs31.org. And their monthly magazine is short and to the point with great articles. I need reminders to keep on the P31 path so I also get the daily devotional by email.
Loved reviewing the pictures. You really brighten my day whenever “Whatever” pops up in my Google reader!
Don’t stress out about the etsy orders – I doubt any of us ordered something that is an emergency! Although, my mail lady stopped her van by my mailbox yesterday and rooted around in the back where she keeps the packages. I was sooo excited, then she just hopped back in and drove away! Cruel…:)

Keri - Being patient over here…. =)
Love the photos, I’m very ready for those type of shots as well. I try to enjoy each day for what it is, but sometimes it’s hard.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Heather Mattos - love, love, love that proverb.

robyn Beckley Vining - another encouragement on prov 31 is that it was written by a mother as a poem for her son and as advice as to what kind of woman he should look for- and she used an alphabet to come up with what she said (the woman didn’t exist at the time- she was a mother’s dream for her son)…i imagine you could go through our alphabet and find ways that you care for your family & fun things about yourself and your marriage that can correspond with each letter.
i imagine your endeared readers could also probably do that for you šŸ™‚

Sharla - I love that picture of waffle in the frame and your little one walking with the balloons in her too funky outfit. I had never seen the one with your girl holding the bubble or the frog – so awesome. I can tell your son smiling on (your?) shoulder is a great captured moment. Thanks for sharing!

Kim - Thanks for sharing your insight on the Proverbs 31 Woman! Especially as we are at that busy season of life, with “younger kids”!

Anna - That zinnia picture was the very first picture/post that I ever read on your blog. I have been hooked ever since šŸ˜‰ Thanks for a great year of color and happiness. Even though I don’t know you personally you are a blessing to my life…you bring joy to my day when I stop by šŸ˜€

a walk.

i promised annie we'd go for a walk on wednesday morning before preschool.

so that afternoon we did.
she rode in her stroller with her sippy cup and a bag of sliced apples to snack on.
i had my camera.
both happy.

IMG_4489
it was so bright and sunny.
the squint-your-eyes kind of sunny.
the nice weather came back…no longer being rude.
on our walk we were trying to pay attention to the small details….textures…colors.

good times.
the sun makes so many things better and hopeful.

also making things better…..argyle tights.

Patty - I very much enjoy your blog – especially the photos – especially the close-ups of your kids – and the ones you take in front of walls. You have quite an eye.

Jamie - I love your blog, so glad to have found it. We live on the East coast and I like seeing the old Newton area where I went to school. Maybe you could wander a couple blocks over and take a photo of my dad’s shop – Just Like New Shoe Repair, I keep wondering what it looks like these days. I haven’t been back to Newton since 2002. Great photos.

erin - oh how i love the midwest! i’m a missouri girl transplanted in south carolina, and yes, the weather is a lovely 75 and sunny today, but it can’t compare to the flat happiness that is home.
i love reading your blog, and finally worked up the courage to comment. the midwest lured me in.

adrienneK - finding all the A’s along the way so neat!!!

Di - You make an ordinary day in our lil ‘ole town seem “so much more.”

Tami - Thats so kewl you have a fox theatre as well, we have one here in Atlanta,Ga

Jill Jones - You are great. Just great!
~Jill

Allikayes Mama - Hey girly! Love your photography!! Also I must tell you…I love looking through your fun links that you find! I always check to see if you have added any fun ones!! Thanks!!

kasey - you always dress her so cute.
xo

Melanie - LOVE those tights! Too bad I’m too old to wear something like that and still look cute. šŸ™‚

Ruth - these are gorgeous! fascinating for me culturally… i am in london and kansas seems like another world! i love the bright colours and big spaces and the fact you can see so much of the sky… wanna swap?? please?!

Ashley - I love what Annie wears! She reminds me of my 4 year old. Isn’t life so fun with a 4 year old?! Love your blog, your great ideas and your beautiful heartfelt decorating.
I’ve been thinking about you and praying for you because I know losing Cora must have really made your heart hurt and hit really close to home.

Shannan - Your town looks SO much like my town! Also, you need to make a coat rack with all of those faucet handle thingys.

sarah - Pretty.
Love the last one of Annie!

Adrienne Hopkins - What fun! We too got a taste of nice weather today. Yes. To live again. šŸ™‚

Julia - I love the pics – what could you do with all of those valves? Something fun…

BlueCastle - I love your pictures! It’s amazing how much beauty there is in the small things. Argyle tights rock! šŸ™‚

Regina (QueenieBee) - What a fun time together! She’s such a cutie!

danyele - that annie is so stinking cute! and i love the pics!!! the faucet handles make me smile.

gina - LOVE her red shoes!!
And all of the A’s and other great finds. šŸ™‚

Erin - Besides the photos of Annie having a great time on your walk, my favorite is the tail light. Something about the color combo makes me happy. Thanks for the photos!

Amber - I love sunny days…they just make me happier! What a fun morning. I love that lime green and blue truck. Such great colors. And yes those tights are too cute! Thanks for sharing a bit of your happy morning.

carissa... brown eyed fox - FOX theatre… i wanna see that place!
i lOvE your pics! all i know is it sure seems like you live in SUCH a neat area… a lot of spirit!
we woke up to SNOW!!!!! šŸ™‚ crazy!
i know the sun will peek out again this week… i hope!

FrenchGirlRN - Great photos…love the tights!

patti - wonderful photos, as always. i absolutely love the old, distressed, and weathered things. i feel like often times people are so quick to disregard and build new without appreciating the “love” that goes into a weathered building, chipped paint, rusted hardware, etc.

Amy Warden - The sun DOES make everything better. I’ve been cooped up with a sick one all week, and I was so glad we could go outside for a couple afternoons. šŸ™‚

Karli - I love the the photos and I love the Argyle tights! Adorable!

Carly - i love seeing the world through your eyes and camera lens. your blog blesses me daily.

Starnes Fam - Beautiful photography. You really have a good eye for it.
I had my first girl after 2 boys 1.5 years ago and I simply cannot buy enough tights – the funkier the better. If you have stores or sites with cute tights, please send them my way! I’m a newbie to the girl world!

Michelle - Thanks for sharing a hint of Spring.

tasha - love the argyle tights!

christine - gorgeous pics!! the “a” one is fabulous!!

Heather Mattos - agreed!

Kelly Anne - Looks like a fantastic outing! And I ADORE those tights. If I could have them in my size, I’d probably wear them every single day.

Rach - I know you are a busy woman, but I nominated you for something on my blog if you have a sec to check it out. Love the new pics!!!

Carrie - Love the pictures. The last one was the best!

tease

our weather is being so rude.

we get these beautiful warm days…full of sunshine…the plants start to bud…we all open our windows.
and then we wake up to 14 degrees the next day.
and on top of that…NO SNOW.   at all.   all year!

how rude!

last week when it was nice the girls got all their jumps out on the trampoline.
no coat.
no socks!

IMG_4299
IMG_4303
IMG_4296
IMG_4292
a little healthy sister wrestling….
with gigging and screaming.

IMG_4293
and static.
IMG_4290

i just think that if it's going to be 14 degrees….there should be some snow.
we want to go sledding.
we want to build a snowman.
i want the hot cocoa moments with the red cheeks and sweaty hair from a good hour of snow play!

unfortunately….i don't always get what i want.

so how about a different approach?

thank you for that break from the cold.
thank you God for sending some sunshine into february.
You must have known how much our hearts needed that sunshine.
thank you.

Amber - Hi! I just stumbled here tonight & am absolutely loving your photography & use of colour. and your composition rocks! Wow. I’m sure you’ve been asked a million times but what camera are you using? Thanks for the fun – I’ve really enjoyed looking around & will be sure to visit again soon šŸ™‚

Amy Warden - Really no snow??? It’s amazing how just a few hundred miles can make such a difference. KC got a bit of a dumping on Saturday. It will be gone soon though…

traci - we who get snow would gladly trade with you who do not. love the static pictures!!

Lazy Mom Leslie - I like your new outlook.
Thank You God!
I need to remember that.

katie - that last picture is too perfect, staticy(?) hair was one of my favorite things about trampolines. and not the dirty feet it gives you!
i am LOVING the preschool daze blog! thanks for posting that. i teach special needs kids and a lot of the things i do with them are basically preschool level activities. so fun to see such creative things going on in kristin’s class! i guess i should say that on kristin’s blog? šŸ˜‰

Jenn - I feel your pain about no snow… we only have about 4-6″ still in our field – we should have at least 2′ left still! It’s going to be dry summer with no snowpack, that’s for sure. Glad you all got out to enjoy the sunshine though – doesn’t it just improve your spirit and make you feel good?! God knows when we need a little boost.

Jennifer P. - well–if you had snow, you’d have that big pile of wet snow clothes dripping all over your wood floors…so maybe it’s best to have a year off ;)!
Glad everyone loved the sunshine!

adrienne - Love your happy things list! Haven’t ssen the last ten, yes 10 things until today! Paper hearts… perfect for teachers!!!

Mrs. B. - lol-ing at “our weather is being so rude.”
I am sympathetic. šŸ™‚

Becky Strahle - Your photos are so amazing. You really know how to catch a moment. Thanks for sharing. I’m ready for Spring too. We live in Minnesota and it really doesn’t get warm until June!!

kasey - I’m with ya! If it’s going to be freakin cold, might as well be snowin.

meredith - Our morning shows in Oz were reporting huge snow fall in the US – hope it found you too. By the way, I went on that rockerbaby etsy site and fell in love with those dresses. I’m trying to think of someone I can buy one for! Beautiful, beautiful. Have a great day, whatever the weather.

kathy b - What happy, joyful, photos. I could almost hear the giggling.

Jamie Sampson - Have I mentioned how much I like you? You are so funny and charming and likable and relatable to. You rock. The waether has been the same here, it will be 50 and nice outside and the next day we wake up to snow which I guess is better than 14 degrees and no snow. šŸ™‚

carissa... brown eyed fox - little static heads… a gift for sure!

Kelly - great attitude! love it! Thanks! Kelly

Clare - We are in Kansas also, but we did get snow (about 2 inches). My daughter is too young to play in it though, I did take her out for a picture. I posted on Wednesday and we are in short sleeves in the park then on Saturday the poor girl is bundle up in her snow suit!! Love Kansas!!

Lori - Keep hoping! Here in Richmond, VA, we haven’t had a significant snow since 2005! The kids have been disgusted with no full snow days….until today. Overnight, we got a good 8 inches of beautiful snow. Most of the city is shut down (this is the South!) and it’s still snowing a little. So don’t give up hope.
Great post. Especially the static-y hair! And every time I look at Annie’s picture on your Etsy store, I crack up – so cute!

Heather - You know, I’d try to be sympathetic, but it’s below -20C here today with the windchill, so I’m having a hard time. šŸ˜‰

Aubrey - oh yeah–you have not met fickle weather until you’ve lived in utah. sometimes we get big snowstorms in JUNE. i’m not exaggerating.

Aubrey - ha–I will trade you some our snow for your warm, window-opening days! yeah, it ruined our tramp, it was already ripping and needed to be replaced, but the foot of snow on it didn’t help anything.
i love static tramp hair.

Kate - ohio’s the same way.
well, we did end up getting snow, but i would’ve rather we hadn’t.
yesterday and today it’s freezing, and just a couple days ago it was ridiculously warm.
ugh, i hate this climate. gets my hopes up, and then brings them down.
-kate

Jill Jones - Aww, that was sweet. And it’s nice to know I’m not the only bad mom who doesn’t have a fence thing around the trampoline. So… thanks for helping me feel normal!
~Jill
jilljones43@msn.com

Shannan - Seriously – No snow…all year? I agree, if it’s going to be frigid, it might as well be snowy. Unless it’s March, and then I prefer the sunshine, so I can at least look outside and pretend that it’s not 10 degrees!

Julie K. - Oh please take some of our snow!!! We are so tired of it! Though … spring is right around the corner here in Chicagoland! Can’t wait.

elisa - Thank you for the reminder to be thankful when warm days pop up in the middle of winter. I too was grumbling about how cold it is today- Seriously way too cold.
Wish I could curl up under a blanket with a good book- dang it. Too bad I just finished the Twilight books.

sandy toe - Sun is a good thing..what cute pictures.
sandy toe

Carol J. - hi…oh what memories those pictures pull in! my 3 girls loooved having a trampoline out back! they jumped for hours on end, they wrestled, they cried, they laughed, they planned, they dreamed. it was such a great thing for them.
and by the way…i’d gladly give you some of our snow. nine more inches last night here in new england! altho i prefer it cooler than hotter, enough already!!

Rachel Reeves - The static pictures is priceless!

Starnes Fam - Static…..we live with static…..it’s everywhere and drives me crazy!

mom - We got 2-3 inches of snow Saturday. However, we couldn’t go out and play!

Kellie - We got snow in ALABAMA yesterday – not just a dusting, but 4 inches!!!! WE slid down hills in baby pools and on boogy boards and cookie sheets – ya’ll would have laughed at us, but you make the most of it with what you’ve got! and by Wednesday it will be 75 degrees – gotta love it!

adrienneK - oh i love the static picture!!!

Staci - I KNOW!!!! WE WANT SOME SNOW TOO!!! My kids are dying to build a snowman…I don’t think it’s gonna be in the cards for this Winter šŸ™ Although…here in OK…we’ve had some really great snow in March šŸ™‚ If it’s not gonna snow….let’s move on in to Spring!!!! My poor little tulips are super confused :0

Lisa - LOTS OF SNOW TODAY IN MAINE!!!
HUGS,
http://sophie4me.blogspot.com/

Trish - That is the sweetest post ever! I love trying to find the good in things! It’s hard sometimes, but I try.
Your girls look like a hoot!
God is good!

Wendy - Way to change your outlook. I’m hoping for spring soon. If it isn’t gonna snow, it might as well warm up, right?

LOVING IT!
now the post office….not excited about that but you are going to be patient with me right?

here are a bunch of random shots from our past week.

hope your day is calming.
if not….maybe you could string some rainbow beads on ribbon…it's very calming.

i am behind on email.
my house looks like a tornado hit (and stayed).
the dog just threw up in the living room.
i need a shower.

but it's all good.
so very good.

new stuff in the shop as of last night. (see my etsy link?  i love linkies!)
my neighbors made and donated some things for the cora playground that you can purchase.
thanks girls!

and……….i'm off!
see ya.

sara - I have to tell you… I just recently added you to my google reader and I think that you are absolutely adorable. What made me comment today, though, is the little people. (Yeah, I’m a little behind on my EIGHT HUNDRED+ unread items!) It just made my heart smile to see all those people… my son (3) is so very in love with them. he sleeps with them, eats with them, the x-ray fish is his beloved. we actually had to get 4 more fish off ebay for backup.
the really sick thing is that it’s become an obsession for ME, too! I am constantly looking for more, more, more… Oy!
Thank you for sharing a bit of your life with us!

Jamie Sampson - LOVE the bathtub photos. They made me smile and feel happy. Thanks! You rock! šŸ™‚

Shawn Chen - Hey Meg–
You don’t know me. I am Jess’s second cousin once removed–sounds distant but you probably met my kids and husband. The girls were in Jess and Joel’s wedding–I stayed home and accidentally had a baby while they were gone.
Anyways…I love your blog; you know the cupcakes you made the day you drew on your bathroom walls? What kind of frosting did you use? I can never get my frosting just right–yours looks so luscious. I keep wondering…
Shawn Chen

Staci - We have those same animals Annie is playing with in the tub šŸ™‚ I MUST learn how to sew dang it!!! Have a great weekend…hope you don’t have to sew the ENTIRE time šŸ™‚

traci - i can feel the happiness in that post. a tornado in the house doesn’t even rattle you. love the beads!! have a great weekend.

Nicole Quiring - I’ve been following your blog for almost a year . . . I’m friends with Lynette Jost – we moved out to Utah at the same time – my husband (Jason Quiring) knows your husband from church camp or something. He’s a youth pastor. Anyways, Lynette told me about your blog and I’m loving it, you are so talented and so REAL!! Love it!
Nicole Quiring

Jenn - Oooh, dog barf in the living room… nice. Better than other things I suppose! Nice work on the Etsy shop – Love seeing your creations.

kasey - Meg, I’m so happy that all your things sold and now you are on your second batch.
good things.
xo

tami - You look great how fun!

Laura Phelps - love your pictures, smile and energy…and the rainbow beads. How can you not smile at THAT?

Becky Vogt - Hi Megan! I just had to tell you how much I’m enjoying your blog. You are very talented and creative! And thanks for posting pics of your home, I’ve always been so curious to see the inside, the outside looks amazing!

Jennifer P. - Love to hear the happiness in your voice!
Now I am off to check out this shop—if you’re making it, I need to have it šŸ™‚

Julia - The underwater picture is so neat – one day your kids are going to love that you took such wonderful pictures of their lives.

Michelle - Make your life a little easier by preprinting your shipping lables (thank you, paypal!) and signing up right there to have your postal carrier pick up the packages at your house. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that feature in paypal. Who has time to go to the post office? šŸ™‚
Michelle
http://oneordinaryday.wordpress.com/

Lazy Mom Leslie - Love all your pictures. But I say that every single time!

Dana D @BoysMyJoys - I am in NO rush for my order. And if it helps, you can just wait on sending out my package! Who knows, I’m sure I’ll be buying more! You could just mail it all out in one big box… whenever! I’m loving your pillows! But they keep selling before I see them! I’ve subscribed to your shop’s feed now, so hopefully there will be a pillow in my future!

sarah - Wonderful pictures. I love how you give us peeks into your everyday life!

danyele - i love all your shots of annie. i have lots of sofie because she’s with me all the time.
i hope you have a fabulous-o day! i wanted to give you a little linky to one of the ways we have honored little cora paige with the help of tabitha…
http://godzchyld.blogspot.com/2009/02/day-19-several-acts-of-love.html
off to look at your new things on etsy…i have a bday for jada coming up soon and i know you will hve something fab that will help build the playground too!!!

adrienne - Strawberry Fields…. MY FAVORITE!!! I looooove vintage linens.

Trish - I just found your blog through another blog šŸ™‚ I love yours and I am here to stay! So glad you sold out of your Cora items. Love the bathtub shots. it reminds me of my little girl “the fish” šŸ™‚

traci - Love the pics as always, the shop is fabulous. Make funky tees for size 10 girls. LOVE the glitter letters. Bought some before they were taken and would love MORE!!!!!!!!!

pve - alright, you just made me feel like a kid again.
that felt good.

Jewel/Pink Ink - Someone recommended your blog for “color”. They were right! I love bright colors and these photos are great antidote for winter blahs. šŸ™‚

eryn - Oh, my friend made that cute snowman ornament! Michelle Allen, she goes to my church…and oh, so talented! It’s funny, because I’ve thought to myself before that you and she are both so creative, and I thought that might like some of her ideas. SMall World!
Praying for Cora.

Jamie Sampson - love love LOVE these! Thanks for making my day even happier. šŸ™‚

courtney - I love these pics!

Deb - Hi Meg,
I LOVE your blog……Can I just tell you the similarities we have between us! Same style, kitchen, dog and so many thoughts and ideas. We are always thinking the same things. It is all so weird to me. I am not sure how I found your blog but it is my favorite and I know if we ever meet we will become the best of friends! I just posted a picture of our dog. She is almost 4 years old and about 75lbs!!!! Soooo big! She grew much larger than they said she would. I love the pictures (google eyes had me peeing my pants) of your dog, it just cracks me up because we have the same silliness with our dog. They are the BEST dogs ever…great with the kids and let us take pictures with things on their heads. I just started my blog in December but wanted to share a picture of my dog with you. It was from last summer!
God Bless.

Alaina - Where, oh where, oh where……did you find those adorable red shoes?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh….

Christine - sorry…didn’t mean to post twice (now three times….)-yikes!!

Christine - Your blog is my favorite. I appreciate how you show the world your love of color and

Happy Week!

Trina - That does feel good.. this is why I love your blog so much.. it is just like a big drink of cheer!

traci - We have friends who have also lost their 10 yr old son to cancer. I would have been angry and stayed in bed for years but they thanked God for each day they had him and continue to win people to the Lord each day….amazing people who raised an amazing boy to see Jesus.
Gods plans are not ours but he always provides.
lOVE YOUR HEART and your spirit!!!

meredith - Aw Meg, you are a faithful girl. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Childhood cancer is one of the things on my list to ask God about when I get to heaven. There’s just no understanding it in this world that’s for sure. I’m sure you and your family are being a wonderful support for your friends and sometimes that’s the only thing you can do I suppose. Thinking of you, hoping you find some peace in your heart soon.

God bless them.

Queen Bee - The colors are wonderful! Though my fav is, of course, Waffle. That dog just has so much character!
Deeply sorry about your loss. Cancer reeeeeeeally does stink. Our community (tiny town) lost a 12 year old girl to it two years ago and we’re all still very affected by it.

Jennifer - Ah, thanks! Love the one of your dog! Not to change the subject, but I was going to make your recipe for Chicken Tortilla soup this week and I was hoping you could tell me about how much (1) ‘jar’ of enchilada sauce is?

Dana @BoysMyJoys - LOVE LOVE LOVE the photo of Lauren and Waffle! Priceless!

julie - Love every single picture!! So fun. Thanks for the shiny start to the day.
Guess whose dog is going to be forced to have a fancy frame photo shoot today?

Georgia - Meg,

xx

Courtney - You’re totally right. That DID make me feel good!

Kim - I so needed that this morning. I can’t help but smile.
And I HATE cancer too. My mom is a survivor-thank goodness- but I still don’t understand why it does what it does. I send love your way.

Amanda Rettke - These are beautiful pictures… full of imagination and whimsey…
You goota gift girl. Now go spread some love.
Many blessings-
Amanda

beth - pretty darn colorful to me…made me smile and get hungry to…those cupcakes look so yummy…can i have one or two, heck all of them?

Juliann Beidler - Megan,
You know, I am so blessed by your blog..and completely blown away/amazed at the same time. I should be doing my Bible Study now and I am going to…a note of encouragement…teenage girls re wonderful. They really have a habit of showing you your best and worst qualities. God tends to teach us something in EVERY situation whether we like it or not. I have never been more humbled, angry, blessed, awed and honored at the same time than when dealing with them.. College also has a way of making them somewhat human to speak with…God is so good, all the time.

katy - I’m in love with this picture post, I soaked in all of the color and feel much better!! Thank you for that.
I’m completely in LOVE with the picture of the “framed dog”, it is priceless. You rock!***

adrienneK - thank you for the colorful images <3

PamperingBeki - Drew thought that picture of Talby was hysterical. He couldn’t stop laughing over it. šŸ™‚

Chrissie Grace

Blanca - So sorry for your loss. My condolences to his family. On a brighter note all of your pictures are great. My favorite has to be the one of Waffle and his red bow.

Wendy - What a nice way to start a Monday. I Like the photo of all the children’s books. We have many of the same ones. Classics. Children’s literature is one of the joys in life.
I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer three years ago. It was quick but cruelly painful. It’s hard to see someone you love suffer so much. Ironically he spent his life researching a cure for cancer. He thinks his early years in the lab exposed him to carcinogenics because many of his colleagues died of the same cancer. I’m comforted in knowing I’ll see him again but I do miss him everyday.
I hope your week is full of hope and joy.

Rachel - Love those red shoes not to mention those cupcakes YUMMY!

Steph - Beautiful pictures. So sorry for your loss.

katie - cancer sucks… it’s the worst 7 I hate when it claims a innocent child, my prayers go out to your neighbors. I could never imagine the pain they are feeling!!
** I love the picture of your dog in the frame!! C-U-Y-U-T-E!!!! **

Kim Howell - Meg.. You are wonderful and I so enjoy your blog..
Thank you for the happiness..
I hate cancer too.. my mom is suffering now with it and is losing her battle slowly .. it is nice to know I am not alone in my hatred!

regina - I meant door not board.

regina - Is that a chalkboard on your board? Is that where you leave notes before you go out the door so you don’t forget? Pretty neat idea….I may have to steal that idea from you but yet I am sure if I tell my hubby I am going to buy chalkboard paint and put it on our door he will think I ma crazy. Maybe I can work on him!

Sandy - I’m so sorry for your loss. Cancer is a bad, bad thing.
On a brighter note, I LOVE the picture of your teen and Waffle – I don’t believe I’ve seen that before. At first glance I thought it was a real framed picture. You are an amazing photographer!

Carrie - I lost my mom to cancer when I was 15. She was only 39. Six years later one of her closests friend who stepped in to take care of her and us while my mom was sick passed away from cancer as well. I hate it too. With everything inside me.
My mom sat my brother and I down in her final days to tell us that if we took only one thing from her struggle it would be to look around and appreciate and renew the relationships with those in our lives. To appreciate my dad more, to love each other a little more, be more tolerant of other people and more understanding of their differences and the things we percieve as problems that they have. I hug my dad more, tell my brother I love him and mean it, and try to found the beauty within everyone. I would give up so much to have her back, but I have found peace over the last 16 years since her death knowing that I took something from her death. That Cancer may have taken her but it DID NOT WIN.
I wish you, your family, and your neighbors/friends peace and understanding right now. I hope through the pain and hurt you are able to find some hope and peace.

callie grayson - Happy Happy Day!
Happy Day to you.

gina - Your photos are so uplifting!
Thanks for that dose of cheer to start the week!
