oh boy was he busy.
Category Archives: photographyand very UNinterested in me.
but i had fun squatting down and chasing him around.
those eyelashes!
he will melt some hearts with those in about 15 years.
do you love those little teeth that one year olds have as much as i do?
his sister jumped in for a few pictures…with the bribe of ice cream after.
i would jump in a picture for ice cream too.
cappuccino chocolate chip in a waffle cone preferably.
"ok…ok…we're all done mason.
but wait.
go climb those stairs..maybe we can get a few more while he plays."
amanda…it was worth the last few minutes.
and this one.
oh my….he is too sweet…he should model for GAP…
he did a great job.
thanks for asking again amanda & dave.
i hope you got ice cream for yourselves…you earned it.
it's hard work getting pictures of a one year old!
he is edible. he was 12 days old.
and cute as can be.
i had to restrain myself from kissing him to pieces.
don't you wish he would wrap those little fingers around yours?
i thought we had to squeeze some of that wildcat purple in there.
and that wrinkly forehead is just too much!
babies spend 90% of their time sleeping like these pictures…
but the other part of their day crying.
so we got a few of that too.
ashley and adam….good work.
he is precious!
i think you should have ten more.
🙂
thanks for bringing him over ashley.
he was the perfect little model.
Gorgeous pictures!
he is super duper adorable. i’m so bummed i don’t have great pics like that of my little man. 🙁
nothing sweeter than a fresh new baby!!!!! So beautiful! Great photos, you are such a talented photographer!
edible in deed! Love them. You rocked it. 🙂
oh my goodness…seriously…
That’s it!!! I want another one NOW! I might be biased about babies, but these are maybe your best pictures ever! I had my heart in my mouth with the first photo – he looked like the cherry on top of a precariously stacked cupcake. Then I remembered that babies don’t roll at 12 days. Duh. Beautiful, beautiful. I could almost smell that newborn baby smell. Oh my gosh !!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so sweet. GREAT pictures!! I love the door one. He is sooo cute!
great pictures! i love the use of color & texture! he is precious! I COULD JUST BITE HIM!!! These are wonderful photos! He is so precious. I noticed another commenter said this makes her want another baby, well, ME TOO! Haha. Looks like you’re going to be responsible for some new babies popping up everywhere 😉
He’s so beautiful! I just love all the new-baby wrinkles! Those are some wonderful pics! These pictures are awesome!! Thank you so much for taking pictures of our sweet boy.
AWESOME pics!!! Wow! I love the one in front of your door. So cute. LOVE new babies!! What a little angel! Beautiful photos. He is so cute! Those pictures are beautiful! I can’t wait to have my own! What a little cutie! He makes my heart just melt! AWESOME PICTURES!!!!!! Wish we lived closer so you could photograph my little sass pot. I love all your shots and am not sure that I could pick a “best” one, but the fist one and the closer up of his fingers just might be in the lead! 😉 Absolutely precious!! adorable. your such a good photographer. i have the same white blanket from ikea. 😉 what a doll! And what gorgeoussssss photographs! Meg you are so talented , and with all your wonderfully colorful and textured backdrops , he is a yummy wittle baby , I’ll take one please. Awwwww. I am completely melted right now! I’ll have one please…..oh wait, it’s not that easy, is it? Thanks for sharing him! The way he’s laying on the pillow, with the polka dots in the background, looks like he’s on top of a cupcake…he DOES look edible. he's a handsome little guy. he likes fire trucks, barney and peek-a-boo.
it's been six years since i have hung out with a two year old boy.
back when i knew the names of every construction vehicle, every rescue hero
and which was the best matchbox car in the box.
thanks shannon and aaron…for blowing bubbles and playing peek-a-boo.
he is such a good boy.
haaahaaahaaa…those last two made me giggle! what a great kid and what a fabulous job you did capturing him!! he is adorable. full of personality and you captured it all. great job meg.
i love your photography! awesome backgrounds. these photos are so awesome!! Love the one with his tongue sticking out! super cute Great pics Meg! Makes me miss my little man being that age! Cute pics! I love the last one – the laughing one – so perfect! thanks for the photos meg. They turned out great, and Eli had fun doing it.
These pics of Eli are AWESOME! It makes me even more excited for our shoot on Saturday! You are AMAZING Meg!
oh.my.goodness. eli is the cutest thing i have ever seen! i just want to sit down on those steps with him and have a conversation about fire trucks, barney, and peek-a-boo…i am sure the words from that cute little mouth would be nothing short of hilarious…adorable!
ah…the lovely co-op again. you captured some terrific moments. wow those eyes! they remind me of my daughters. big and green! wonderful job capturing the spirit of a laughing, peek-a-boo playing, little boy! I would drive to Kansas from Michigan just to have you take pictures of my kids!! what a cutie! Once again- amazing photos. He is absolutely adorable.
Okay- I think you need to start giving some tips on producing wonderful photos!! You are so talented and I want to learn your tricks. You should start doing posts with a tip of the day or something. I would love that!! Love all your photos!! You are soooo creative!! He is Precious! I Love little Boys.. I have a Eli also. I used to know all the Rescue Heroes names too, can’t say that anymore. Your blog and photos are brighten my day, Jamie These are so cute, I love the last two where he is laughing. I also dont know if I have ever commented, but I must say your blog is one of my very faves. I also want to thank you for all the inspiration. Beautiful photos! i scouted out some spots for emily's senior pictures but was feeling unsure. i was so releived when she said "i just want it to be where i wouldn't normally wear my prom dress."
YAY….we were off to the abandoned CO-OP.
and wow…it smelled seriously bad…like manure.
but we sacrificed for the photo.
emily….you made my job so easy.
your smile is so genuine.
i love all of these
but this one is my favorite….
or these….
thanks emily.
my first senior pictures were a success!
(anyone know why pictures lose their color a bit when putting them on the blog?
these are so bright and vivid in iPhoto and then here they seem a bit washed out???
if you know….fill me in please. :)
seriously stunning!!! the photos and the subject!! fun fun pictures…makes me want to be a senior again…haahaahaa what a gorgeous young lady! Those are all fantastic, but the one of her in street clothes in the crook of the tree…sigh. She will cherish that one always.
These pics are great! Very Down-to-Earth! I was wondering if you would be willing to take my son’s one year old pics and a few family shots?
Megan, these photos are absolutely wonderful. Not only is it impossible to select a favorite from what you’ve posted, I would imagine it will be all the more difficult when we see all you shot. Thank you for bringing such creativity to your session. And yes, the girl’s pretty cute, too. Thanks again for providing Emily with such a wonderful experience.
Gorgeous. those prom dress/urban shots look like a fashion editorial. What fun senior pictures!
Amazing, I have the same prob ,dying to get my hands on photoshop and a decent camera! Love love love these!!i
Okay… love the one where she is hugging her knees (B+W) and her toes are sticking out, great photo! also the one in the red doorway with the interesting light play. Those are great Meg! My favorites are with the pink background and the one in the tree (that’s my ultimate favorite). What a great idea to have her pictures done in her prom dress. Does everyone in that area do that? They don’t do it here, but I love the idea (too bad my daughter graduated last year!). Meg, those are gorgeous. Really. I wish my senior pictures had been one iota as cool. Instead I look like I am about to commit mass murder on my way to Tony and Tina’s Wedding. Thanks for sharing these!
So SO beautiful…the pictures and Emily 🙂 gorgeous! you totally rocked it. Go Meg! Go Meg! Go Meg! and the chants go on and on 🙂 Wow! Beautiful! Great Pics!
beautiful girl, beautiful photography! Fabulous shots! These pictures look great! I want to take some like this in my wedding dress… I just have to have this baby first. 🙂 But my hubs is getting deployed 2 months after the baby is born so I figure if I can lose the weight in time, pictures like that would be cool to send to him in Iraq. I also love the new blog header!!!
These are amazing. I just love the one of her leaning up against the building. She is beautiful.
Awesome pictures! As always. I love the one in front of the red door.(with the sunlight) If you ever find yourself in South Carolina, you MUST let me know. Great photos and she looks absolutely divine!! I love the one in the tree and the ones with the window by her!!!!! Awesome job meg.
What an infectious smile. She’s absolutely darling. And, your photography is fantastic!
What a beauty, and I love the photos!
Wow! She is Gorgeous and you did a Superb Job! Congratulations. jamie Gorgeous! Great job Meg! i have been working on etsy orders but feel like i am getting no where. don't give up on me.
yes…you placed your order a month ago…but i am still working.
the quilted pillows are my favorite to make but take twice as long to complete.
so keep waiting for your lovely pillows.
total randomness….
these are some of my favorite pics from the past 12 months.
i have had to delete a bunch of photos off the computer and just love these pics.
so many are summer photos…coincidence? i think not.
and so many are annie, i know, but she is the youngest…what can i say?
———————————————————————————————————————- julie….you rock!
i love my matching flower for my purse.
you are so nice to me. thank you.
kathy b….you rock too!
that fabric you sent me was SO COOL!
i never see that kind of chenille for sale anymore.
i absolutely love it…thank you.
———————————————————————————————————————- in bible study yesterday we were talking about proverbs 31.
have you read it?
reading it before has always caused me feel to guilty….
feeling there is so much i lack in the way of running my home.
but thankfully yesterday i saw it differently.
i saw the things i am providing and teaching my children.
i saw ways that i am pleasing to my husband.
if i am trying than i am headed in the right direction.
God knows my heart.
He knows i want to be more like this woman everyday…even when i fail.
read it again yourself and see what you hear God telling you.
———————————————————————————————————————-
i know i say it all the time but it's true….
"back to the craft room"
don’t forget the bit in Prov. 31 where “she girds her loins with strength”! i always loved that part–that this ideal of a godly woman is also incredibly strong–tough, even! And that that strength comes from the Lord. 🙂 i totally think of you as a proverbs 31 woman!!!! Hi! Please, please, please don’t stress about the Etsy order. You better promise to put me on the bottom of the list! what happy photos, thanks for brightening my day~! As if I wasn’t already aching for summer, you go and post so many of the things I love! One of these days I have to figure out how to add a craft room to the house, your “back to the craft room” comments make me want to do the same! the picture of waffle in the frame- see you could totally be a dog photographer!! Love it!
I sure do enjoy your blog-you sure have alot going on. I love all your pics-I know what camera you have but your pictures are so crisp and clear-I have a canon and my pics seem to come out blurred alot-do you have any suggestions? I have a grandaughter and sure would like to take some really good pics of her. She is on the run alot-she is 15 months. I would appreciate suggestions. Thanks
my favorite verse and the first verse i learned after becoming a Christian is Proverbs 31:30…it’s awesome and never loses its value and intensity when I read it. Great reminder for women.
Thank you for sharing the verses with all of us ladies. We can never be reminded too much! And seriously – try not to worry about the orders. Take your time. Create with love and joy, as I know you do, and not stress and worry.
I love Proverbs 31. She seems so perfect. I love that her children call her blessed. The pictures you posted were gorgeous. I’m in love with all of the color. You really are a talented photographer and from what I can see with your gifts and relationships you are very much like the Porverbs 31 woman.
love, love, love that proverb.
I love that picture of waffle in the frame and your little one walking with the balloons in her too funky outfit. I had never seen the one with your girl holding the bubble or the frog – so awesome. I can tell your son smiling on (your?) shoulder is a great captured moment. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for sharing your insight on the Proverbs 31 Woman! Especially as we are at that busy season of life, with “younger kids”! That zinnia picture was the very first picture/post that I ever read on your blog. I have been hooked ever since 😉 Thanks for a great year of color and happiness. Even though I don’t know you personally you are a blessing to my life…you bring joy to my day when I stop by 😀 i promised annie we'd go for a walk on wednesday morning before preschool. so that afternoon we did.
she rode in her stroller with her sippy cup and a bag of sliced apples to snack on.
i had my camera.
both happy.
it was so bright and sunny.
the squint-your-eyes kind of sunny.
the nice weather came back…no longer being rude.
on our walk we were trying to pay attention to the small details….textures…colors.
good times.
the sun makes so many things better and hopeful.
also making things better…..argyle tights.
I very much enjoy your blog – especially the photos – especially the close-ups of your kids – and the ones you take in front of walls. You have quite an eye. I love your blog, so glad to have found it. We live on the East coast and I like seeing the old Newton area where I went to school. Maybe you could wander a couple blocks over and take a photo of my dad’s shop – Just Like New Shoe Repair, I keep wondering what it looks like these days. I haven’t been back to Newton since 2002. Great photos.
finding all the A’s along the way so neat!!! You make an ordinary day in our lil ‘ole town seem “so much more.” Thats so kewl you have a fox theatre as well, we have one here in Atlanta,Ga
Hey girly! Love your photography!! Also I must tell you…I love looking through your fun links that you find! I always check to see if you have added any fun ones!! Thanks!!
LOVE those tights! Too bad I’m too old to wear something like that and still look cute. 🙂 these are gorgeous! fascinating for me culturally… i am in london and kansas seems like another world! i love the bright colours and big spaces and the fact you can see so much of the sky… wanna swap?? please?!
Your town looks SO much like my town! Also, you need to make a coat rack with all of those faucet handle thingys.
What fun! We too got a taste of nice weather today. Yes. To live again. 🙂 I love the pics – what could you do with all of those valves? Something fun… I love your pictures! It’s amazing how much beauty there is in the small things. Argyle tights rock! 🙂 What a fun time together! She’s such a cutie! that annie is so stinking cute! and i love the pics!!! the faucet handles make me smile.
Besides the photos of Annie having a great time on your walk, my favorite is the tail light. Something about the color combo makes me happy. Thanks for the photos! I love sunny days…they just make me happier! What a fun morning. I love that lime green and blue truck. Such great colors. And yes those tights are too cute! Thanks for sharing a bit of your happy morning.
Great photos…love the tights! wonderful photos, as always. i absolutely love the old, distressed, and weathered things. i feel like often times people are so quick to disregard and build new without appreciating the “love” that goes into a weathered building, chipped paint, rusted hardware, etc. The sun DOES make everything better. I’ve been cooped up with a sick one all week, and I was so glad we could go outside for a couple afternoons. 🙂 I love the the photos and I love the Argyle tights! Adorable! i love seeing the world through your eyes and camera lens. your blog blesses me daily.
Really, really great photos. You inspire me to stop and take the time to do such a thing. I’ve been carrying my camera around with me more. Thank you for that. love the argyle tights! gorgeous pics!! the “a” one is fabulous!! agreed! Looks like a fantastic outing! And I ADORE those tights. If I could have them in my size, I’d probably wear them every single day. You are a great photographer. You have inspired me. I love the picture of Annie with the ‘A’ next to here. GREAT picures Meg…as always! Annie’s argyle tights make me happy too 🙂 I really would like a pair 🙂
Looks like a great time!
I really have to tell you how happy I am to have discovered your blog. I have four kids…and one is an Annie, too. Your color, pictures, and faith are something I look forward to each day…a quick little check in to your newest post, and I am renewed! Thank you. I know you are a busy woman, but I nominated you for something on my blog if you have a sec to check it out. Love the new pics!!! Love the pictures. The last one was the best! i haven't watched them yet.
i haven't seen any of the movies.
it's on the dvr so while i sew i may have it on in the background.
but this is what i like to see on my oscars.
"del tacooooo!"
looking forward to seeing what was funny tonight.
*****************************************************************
I just watched my DVR’d Oscars yesterday. REEEEALLY good. Surprisingly. And, yes, they cut to Brad and Angelina when Jennifer Aniston presents an award. TWICE.
That’s some good funny right there! Thanks!
I was at the Oscars!!!! It was fantastic! Go and watch! Too bad it’s not always that funny! thanks for a laugh! we don’t have cable, so I miss out on this stuff! i just wanted to let you know, i was at old navy this weekend, and there is a red and white polka dotted hooddie there with your name on it! you cannot be 19.50! That’s why I didn’t bother with watching the Oscars – how can I get excited for a movie if I haven’t seen it? Once they come out on DVD then I’ll be excited for them! just got through commenting on MY blog about what i thought was funny on the oscars…they were really good this year, even though i hadn’t seen any of the movies either…come share whether you & i thought the same thing:) Likewise – I haven’t seen any of the movies and I rarely get to watch the Oscars. I’ll catch up on what everyone wore by looking at the Today Show! I love love love your blog. it’s so colorful and warm, and always brings a smile to my face. you make me want to be more crafty and spontaneous than I actually am… and I have the urge to have many more children… I think that’s a good thing too!:-) thanks for sharing. Okay, those were really funny clips… Why can’t the Oscars always be so fun?
