Craft Weekend was totally super like always.
this sign was a gift and i adore it!
we crafted the nights away… shopped all day… ate too much good food.
i’ll blog all about it next monday.
yesterday everyone in my family was home because of MLK day.
the weather was fabulous but i was like a zombie from three LATE nights in s row.
but we made it through.
i was driving another kid to another thing like i did many times yesterday and i had a thought that was something like “God… why do you even like me?” basically…. feeling tired and worn out and lame. I drove across the parking lot and MY JAM came on the radio! (Multiplied which i have shared here before)
And i almost bawled. because i ALWAYS miss it! when i change the channel i catch the last 10 seconds.
i NEVER ever hear from the first note.
And i felt loved so hard right there in my driver’s seat in the high school parking lot at 5:13 PM on a monday night.
Sounds silly doesn’t it? But i knew it was played just for me.
and i TURNED IT UP!
to eleven.
God is good to me….everyday.
and then this morning!!!!
i found a starbucks card from LAST CHRISTMAS (as in 2013!) that i never used tucked in a notebook that i got out to do some planning work inside that God has been nudging me to do.
i mean… He loves me!!!
what better way to show me?!
my song AND coffee?!
He’s so rad.
ok…
remember my trip to Liberia in July?
i went to visit my friend pam and her family for a week and experience a tiny bit of their work in africa.
i think about that week pretty much every day because my heart is there in some form.
what i experienced is IN me.
i saw it and felt it and it never goes away.
i just heard that Pam’s oldest daughter Alex is in the running for a full scholarship to Abilene Christian University!!
