I was asked to take part in a promotion with LG Studio called “Designing Your Signature Kitchen.”
well… yes please!
i just go to do this in our new home we moved into almost two months ago.
but what if that is not the plan for you?
what if you have a kitchen that you aren’t wanting or able to gut and start over?
i started thinking about ways to change your existing kitchen to make it “Your Signature Kitchen”.

1. paint – this is the least expensive option and makes a HUGE impact. you could paint your walls or your existing cabinets.
2. replace backsplash – this is not necessarily an easy fix but changing your backsplash would change the whole room.
3. flooring – either getting all new flooring, painting or altering the existing flooring or even just a new rug or two.
4. lighting – changing out the old ceiling lighting and/or adding under counter lights
5. faucet/sink – freshening up this area makes it feel clean & new.
6. altering existing cabinets – changing the look by removing some completely off the wall to open up space, removing doors for an open shelf look or painting the outside or inside of cabinets.
7. appliances – new appliances change the look of a kitchen A LOT.

8. replacing counter tops – you could change to stone, butcher block or even concrete!
9. cabinetry hardware – switching your drawer pulls or door handles is an instant face lift.
10. the details – freshen up your space by changing out artwork, dishes, towels, baskets, small appliances, clocks, shelves, wallpaper, curtains or pillows

“My Kitchen Needs Nate” Contest
Beginning June 19 and extending to July 31, consumers are encouraged to enter the “My Kitchen Needs Nate” contest in which the winner will receive a Nate Berkus designed and remodeled kitchen that incorporates LG Studio appliances. Contestants are asked to shoot a video of themselves in their kitchen, noting the personal inspiration point they want Nate to incorporate in his design and why they’re excited about LG Studio’s line of appliances. LG Studio and Nate will choose the winner based on the following criteria: compelling design opportunity, quality of LG Studio appliance-based answer and visibility of kitchen space. Once the renovation is complete, renovation episodes, tip videos and images capturing the renovation will be posted to LGStudioKitchen.com and shared across LG and Nate’s social properties.
Readers may submit video entries at LGStudioKitchen.com for a chance to win a new kitchen renovation, designed by celebrity designer Nate Berkus and furnished with LG Studio appliances.
