craft weekend was great….of course.
because what could be better than having girl time and crafts and a barn full of antiques?
🙂
my kids have left for school and my big plans until 3:30 are to sleep.
nothing else.
just lots of sleep.
then tonight watching the jayhawks go for national champs!!
did you have a good weekend?

you are probably being more ambitious than me and attempting more than a long nap.

And GO CATS! I’m a Kentucky girl and I bleed blue.
Kelly - My Buckeyes lost to your Jayhawks!! 🙁
There’s always next year!! 🙂
Have a lovely nap. Can’t wait to see the next set of photos from your weekend.
cyndiloohoo - So what exactly is a “craft weekend” and how do you get to attend one?
deborah@applesinwonderland - It is good to have a goal. Or a dream;)
Alicia @ La Famille - hope you got a goooooood nap! i need a day like that, only i homeschool so that’s hard to do. maybe i could call in a substitute teacher?? hmmmm. zzzzzzzz 🙂

Tracy Fisher - Sleep… it’s a good thing! I was just asked what I would do if I had won the Powerball. I said “take a nap”, then “buy a place in Palm Desrt, CA”, then “take a nap there too”. haha
You deserve the rest. Can’t wait to hear all about the weekend.
Tracy
sandi - maybe there will be an investigation and another ncaa violation in a few months and you guys will get the trophy. sorry about your loss, at least your team made the final four.
Christine - Love your blog. BUT…GO CATS!!! Born and raised in KY, I bleed Blue…KY BLUE. Even if KY doesn’t win, at least is isn’t UNC or Duke. 🙂

Your CW’s seem amazing!!!
farmhousemama - I want to come be a helper! Serious. I would probably never pay to do crafts cause I do that on my own but I love to cook, entertain, have a sewing machine and all the tools. Most importantly I love to hang out with women. So much fun. Good for you for following your passions.
Teresa - Cheer on those Jayhawks! Rock Chalk!
se7en - Oh good for you… Why do I never make fabulous decisions like these!!!
Valerie @ Chateau A La Mode - Enjoy your sleep girlie, you need it! My kiddies are all home for Spring break. Took my girls to see The Hunger Games…LOVED! So glad to hear that Craft Weekend went well. How could it not!
mae - This sounds heavenly!!
betsy - Rock Chalk! I may or may not be wearing this tshirt for the third time this week:

🙂
sandi - my team is duke and in acc country we have a saying… Anybody But Carolina. but my hubby is a carolina boy through and through. so tonight my saying is Anybody But Calipari. don’t get me started on his (at one point) 33% graduation rate and the mess he leaves a school in… cheering hard for your kansas boys tonight.
4 Fab Franklins - Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
Lindsay F. - ROCK CHALK!
Jacci in Ohio - University of Kentucky Class of 1999, baby. Bring it.
happygirl - Bummer that Kansas beat OS. I’m glad you had a good day’s sleep. Good for you.
Lori Austin - Those fabrics! My oh my!
Hope your sleep was fantastic. 🙂
My hubby and I spent the day gathering up all the ins/outs for
taxes. Sounds yucky, but I organized some files and pitched tons
of paperwork so I kind of enjoyed it. Crazy I know!!
emily anderson - oh you know what i’ll be doing tonight…rock chalk! i’m so excited!
Sarah{Handbags*N*Pigtails} - How weird is it that I was thinking of you today when my third graders were writing different facts about Kansas-state bird, flower, tree, etc… They’re working on a different state each day. I was thinking “I know a few girls in Kansas!” 🙂
Colleen - Ah Sleep until the kids come home from school… i’ve never done that… how enjoyable..thx for another great idea!
cailan - That sounds pretty dreamy. : ) Can’t wait to hear all about the weekend!
Gretchen - Sad that my Buckeyes lost to you Jayhawks. I really hope they can take UK down!!! Go Rock Chalk Jayhawk!! ( that is probably the only time I will say that.)
Laura - I’m a Louisville fan who will be cheering for your Jayhawks! Rock chalk, Jayhawk, KU! Woo hoo! Go Kansas!
Marianne - Gorgeous pictures! I’d hang those on my walls as art!
Kirsten P - The piles of fabric reminded me of The Princess and the Pea. Didn’t Talby paint that recently?
I hope your Jayhawks win! I’ll be watching Bones tonight.
Erin - Looking forward to hearing all about your latest craft weekend – I’m sure it was amazing!
I had to share that your craft weekends inspired a mini-version here in Massachusetts this past weekend – just a day with sweet friends, but definitely felt like we were channeling bits of your beautiful concept here! Check it out – and thanks for your wonderful inspiration!

Hope you get rested soon!
April R - This morning I heard on the radio about Kentucky VS Kansas and I immediately thought, “Go Jayhawks!” then had to laugh bc the only reason I even knew they were the Jayhawks was your blog (we don’t even have cable – but Go Jayhawks!)
Ashley - I wish I could know the source of those stacks of fabric! I know they come from all over….but some of them, I must have!!!! Like that cupcake one in there! my daugheter would LOVE a pillow or something in that!
Tiffany - Just had a thought, about what a great day it would be to just buy all the pretty fabric that caught my eye. You lucky duck!
Molly - Can’t wait to see more pics from craft weekend! We were cheering for KU on saturday and hope they can win tonight! I am sure there are some super excited people in your house!
Seriously Sassy Mama - No nap for me. My birthday is Thursday, and I am getting the house clean before then so I can just sit and do nothing.
Meredith - Hehe! I’m a die hard Kentucky Fan and a loyal reader of your blog. I have been thinking about you and your fam ever since Kansas won on Saturday. I don’t know any Kansas fans in real life! Good luck tonight and have fun watching the game! 🙂
andrea - Your Jayhawks beat my Buckeyes (but I didn’t know until I read your post!). My parents are college bb CRAZY in March. They watch every girls and boys game. We usually don’t even go to their house in March because of it. At my house we are more into the Buckeye football! My dad is a HUGE UK fan so he will be doubly routing for them since the Jayhawks beat OSU. 😉 But all I care about is that Spring football practice started last week!!!
Hope you have a great nap! That is one good thing about all the kids being in school – naps for parents!
Jo(ke) - You deserve your sleep. Enjoy. I live in Belgium and our 2 week spring break started today. I’m getting married in 3 months so I decided to use this time to clean and purge and that is exactly what I’m doing today. Next on the list: cleaning out my shoes, clothes and accessories. I’m not looking forward to that. That’s why I’m reading blogs and not cleaning. 🙂
Beth P - The sleeping sounds great but sorry to say your Jayhawhs are not going to win tonight….UK all the way! 3 Goggles are up and we’re on a mission for #8!!!!
Kim - Glad your weekend went well! Enjoy your sleep.
