my weekend was redonk.
i am feeling a little zombie-ish.
it was busy busy busy with lots of fun stuff.
look who i hung out with for 1 hour on sunday morning reeeeeeallly early…..
Tyler from Blue Lily photography was driving cross country from Ohio to New Mexico and stopped in Kansas
for a family photo session with me and my crazy tribe.
i wore my new sparkly pink cons.

i found out tuesday night that we would get to take our pictures on sunday.
that is short notice for picking outfits for five kids and you & your man.
but i LOVE a challenge.
and shopping.
old navy, target, justice, Rue 21 and good ol' walmart took good care of me.
i got everyone all matchy-but-not-too-matchy-matchy…and we met Tyler at 7 AM for our pictures.
seriously.
it's GREAT light at sunrise.
if i hadn't seen it for myself for Kimberlee's shoot i wouldn't have believed it….but sunrise is gorgeous.
he said we were the earliest shoot he's ever done.
RAD.
and my kids weren't perfect.
some of them acted up a bit.
some of them were a little too goofy.
one of them threw herself on the ground and not so sweetly declared to be done !
but….
they are kids and tyler knows that.
so i just try to put it out of my mind….
they did their best.
no kids like to get up at dawn and get their pictures taken at a cruddy old barn.
right?
and then we hugged goodbye and tyler took off to New Mexico.
it was waaaaay too short.
way.
and i didn't even get to see wendy. :( waaah.
but there will always be more photo fun to be had with the blue lilys.
it's a guarantee.
remember this? ….yeah more fun in the future…for sure.

Maya Catching Butterflies - I tried to take pictures of my girls at a beautiful park over the weekend. I had a problem with random kids jumping into the photos and then my kids weren’t interested in standing still. I took what I could get. HA! i agree with you, Meg. They’re kids, whaddya gonna do. LOL!!
