bathroom remodel pictures coming soon!
Susan - Hi Meg. I’m here a day late but, I thought I’d post anyway. I always love checking out what’s going on with your family. Have a great weekend!
lulusparkles - you know you are gonna start getting WAY too much information now but you asked for it…..it is 4:30 pm and i am still in jammies and have not been back upstairs to brush my darn teeth yet-ewww!
when hubby calls to say he is on his way home my rear springs into action 😉
Joanna Peck (Jodi) - I am a LURKER! Love the house!..trust me it’s not messy….I have 4 kids and can clean a room… leave and take a shower and come back and it be worse than before! It’s all the kids fault! ;0) Just blame them!…. I love the picture of all the laundry! It’s amazing with kids how much laundry they can mess up and why! Like my Aunt used to say “why am I washing bathing suits in December?” (we live in Chicagoland!) Have a great weekend!
shelley - Hi Meg, I’m Lisa’s frined from IL. She found out I like to scrapbook and craft so she sent me the link to your blog. I told her the other night at small group that if you and your family would ever come visit here and we met I would feel like I already knew you! That’s creepy!!
I love the recipes you post. I think I’ve tried them all! I made the buckle for small group – Lisa loved it! I also made the chicken and biscuits a few weeks ago and my hubby loved it. I added a bag of frozen mixed veggies and topped it off with cheddar cheese before I put the biscuits on… yummmmm. I think everything could use more cheese. Uh-oh now I’m hungry.
Love your blog. Have a happy day.
Jenn - I forgot this note – all you ladies that have little girls from 3 months to 6 years check out this website for clothes. They are very cute/cool (expensive) and gave me some ideas for London (i am thinking Amy Butler fabrics). The lady who has this site is a friend of a friend and asked to pass it on. http://www.tallulahmoon.com
Jenn - Yummy…yummy…in my tummy 🙂 Last night at 11:00 Russ ate two pieces and I had one piece of the very yummy blueberry buckle and I have brought one to work. Thank you so much for the blueberry buckle. You know how to brighten up the day. Your house is NEVER too messy and your kids are great. Have a great Friday night with the family.
amy - So Corey and all these blog lurkers are going to get to see your bathroom before me? I’ll be honest… that kinda hurts, Meg. And even after I traded hair color appointments with you. Sad.
Steph - Glad to see you got your 20 posts before I got here! 🙂 I think your house is lovely, since you mention it, and I am looking forward to seeing your bathroom remodel photos!!
Sue Thompson - love reading your blog. So many great and fun ideas. Thanks for sharing with us all.
Blessings
Sue
Candy - Congrats to the winner!!! 🙂
I think you know I’m here, check in often and LOVE your blog!! 🙂
Jennie - OK, Meg, I made the Mexican Chicken for dinner tonight…it was awesome! So easy to make, my four year old helped stir the soup and tomatoes and of course helped crush the chips. My husband usually doesn’t go for anything with much kick to it, so I said something like, “well, I could make it next time with just tomatoes and keep out the heat”, and he replied, “Now don’t change it too much!” So it was a hit all around. It will go in my book of recipe faves. Thanks for sharing!
Jennie
meg duerksen - see how fun this is!
we are all fully interacting with this blog. 🙂
i HAd to get on and comment back to southernseven.
that is a crack up.
i didn’t put the camera on the ground but i did squat down and put the lens between the bars of the pen and took a bunch of pictures.
and i did wipe down my camera on the drive home because my hands and my camera smelled like pigs.
i never use my case.
it’s too much work.
i keep it in my big giant purse 95% of the time.
or out on the counter to be ready at a moment’s notice.
like when annie gets naked on the trampoline or the blueberries in my recipe are too pretty and must be photographed.
my camera has a little wear and tear but it’s getting loved on everyday.
and i do set it on the ground for some shots.
but the pig pen…that’s probably going too far.
so southernseven – no more standing erect.
lay down in the grass…climb high and point the camera down.
and no more saying “cheese”
🙂
thanks ladies.
i am loving all the talking going on here.
let’s keep it up everyday!
love it.

Lindy - YEA JESS!!!!
We bought the Rat A Tat Cat at Barnes and Nobles the other night – fun game. 3 and 4 year old had a blast. We LOVE games…..
Ainslie - Well in that case…guess I’d better leave a comment!!! I absolutely, totally, truely LOVE your blog. I think what I love the most is your honesty. I love the fact that you’re more than happy to reveal both the UPS and DOWNS of life. That’s a lovely quality to have.
And I soooooo want to come and live with you (but only if I could bring my family with me!!!). Your house looks devine…well lived in, well used and just gorgeous.
And lastly, I want your neighbours. Where do you get such fun neighbours from? Can I come to your next street party???
Leah Schoonover - HAHA… kind of makes us “lurking ladies” seem greedy! But we do love you and your family/blog! My husband and I are having a BBQ tomorrow to raise money for a missionary friend… so today was a big trip to Costco. Where I also bought a sleigh bed! I have been looking for one on craigslist for months (waiting for someone to get rid of there pottery barn bed) but this one was half the price and so pretty! Just got back from the farmers market (have to call my mom and tell her I forgot she was going and went without her…whoops!) and am waiting patiently for my husband to finish work so he can put together my bed! Sorry… didnt intend to write a book! Have a great night.
Suzanne - i smell conspiracy!!!
i know you’re not talking to me, because i’m sure by now you are sick of me ALWAYS leaving comments/annoying questions…although i don’t hear from you too often 🙁
ooh…btw i got the ingredients for “chicken & biscuits”!! it’s on the menu for tomorrow night! can’t wait!
Staci - I’m here! I’m here! One-handed, but still here! I guess I missed out on the big giveaway during…”The Fall”! Bummer 🙁 I LOVE YOUR HOUSE!!! (And your blog!)
pam - I think your house is too messy. 😉
(since you’re not sweeping at home, just at church)
PamperingBeki - I’ve been checking in daily too but don’t want you to think I’m a stalker. 😉 So I don’t always comment. But I’m always here… Wait, that sounded freaky. I’m not scary. Honest.
traci - hi meg – just got back from vacation. can’t wait to scroll further down your blog to see what you have been up to.
Shelly H. (in Overland Park, KS) - Congrats to ccbella…
I bet she will “Go Nuts” (name of the top game in pic), when she gets these goodies in the mail =)
Bethany - HI Meg! Thanks for popping in again! I’ll leave ya a comment and do my part to help you get to 20!! LOVE that shot of your lil’ guy in the corn! When we were back in Kansas in June I had high hopes of getting my kids in the corn and having a photo shoot, but it wasn’t tall enough yet and it was REALLY muddy!!
Hope you guys are enjoying your summer!!
denise - SORRY I AM LURKER!!! Hahahaha!! I love hearing about your world. It makes my day brighter.
Anna - I love your house, and the way you decorate it!
Beth - I’m a local lurker. Love your blog and your honesty about life with kids. I cleaned out piles of clutter today which feels good but there’s always more . . .
Dayna - ::waves:: I’m reading!
southernseven - okay, I will play your game. My question yesterday was :Did you actually put your nice wonderful camera on the ground with PIGS??? Other option, were YOU laying/lying on the ground with PIGS??? My husband would have you shot. Our camera is treated like a priceless heirloom and we get lots of lectures when we put it down not in the case. When the kids get near it MC Hammer starts singing Can’t Touch This. No wonder your pictures are so much better, I have to stand erect at full attention. I have to worry about the stinkin camera and can’t concentrate on their cute feet like you.
Lee Ann - oh I LOVE me a good remodel! Looking forward to the pictures.
leslie - Oops, I meant I wouldn’t consider myself a lurker, not stalker. Although you may consider me a stalker if I start leaving comments all the time!
leslie - Well I wouldn’t consider myself a stalker. I read every single post but only leave comments when I feel like I have something worthwhile to contribute. Which is very seldom! 😉 Today I have a housefull of kids. Two friends share a nanny and she has the day off today as her mother is having surgery. So I stepped in to help out. They’re all great kids so it’s not a problem at all and it makes me happy to help my friends!
Jennie - Meg,
I plan to make your fave Mexican Chicken Dinner tonight…I have been anxious to try it out since you posted it. Anything with cheese and cream of mushroom/chicken soups MUST be delish!
I enjoy reading your blog…it is sweet and fun!
I’ll let you know what my guys think of dinner tonight. Thanks for the recipe! I only wish I had a margarita to go with it! Ha!
